House of the Dead III Gouges PSN on Valentine’s Day
Like an upstanding automaton, House of the Dead refuses to die with the arcade scene. Riding on this generation’s motion controller trend right after House of the Dead: Overkill’s port, HotDIII makes its way onto PSN (or SEN…whatever) next Tuesday with an HD coat of paint, complete Move support for two players, and trophies. If you shell out for PS Plus, feel free to start blasting zombies now with an exclusive demo. The port is being offered for $6.99 (exactly what I’d pay for a rail shooter), and you can take 30 % off with your swanky Plus membership.
Sega also previously promised that we’d see House of the Dead 4 hit the PS3 with similar upgrades. Unlike the third installment which can already be found both on the original Xbox and Wii, HotD4’s arrival on a console will mark the first time the game has shambled anywhere but arcades. Look for that horde come Spring.
