Incredibly Badass Diablo III Animated Short Demands Your Eyeballs
The demons are close upon us, Diablo fans. Next Tuesday is the release of Diablo III actualized. It may seem like fantasy to see Blizzard’s sequel in its full-fledged glory, but ready yourself, friends. It’s happening.
In celebration of this mythical event, an animated precursor to the game was set loose, fleshing out the backstory behind Heaven’s elite force of archangels as they cut into hordes of the damned in order to end Diablo’s whacky, evil antics.
The short, dubbed Wrath, is masterfully done, directed by anime savant Peter Chung (the mind behind Aeon Flux…I’ll like you more if the image you’re conjuring in your head isn’t of Charlize Theron). Chung’s direction alone should hunker you on down and steal your attention, even if Diablo is nowhere on your palette.
