Zombie Chow-Mein: Capcom to Open a Resident Evil-Themed Restaurant in Tokyo

Launching July 13th in Shibuya, Tokyo, Capcom is opening yet another video game eatery – one having already opened in April – this time solely focused on their benchmark survival horror franchise Resident Evil (or Biohazard, as it’s wrongly pronounced it in Japan).

The ‘Biohazard Cafe & Grill S.T.A.R.S.’ will be a short-lived establishment, unfortunately, as the restaurant is only planned to be open for one year in order to promote Resident Evil 6’s October drop date.  Specific menu items have yet to be announced but be sure to expect tasty biological disasters for the whole family.  If the unique choice of food doesn’t sate you, live entertainment will accompany meals in the form of Dance Team S.T.A.R.S. Angelique (those girls better be wearing berets).

If you find yourself in the Shibuya ward on Friday the 13th in July, make sure you grab a Jill Sandwich for me (seriously, I need you to package and ship it to me).

Located at the Pasela Resort in Shinjuku, Tokyo, patrons are welcome to try Capcom’s latest games as well as extremely odd (and oddly badass) dishes inspired by the 29-year-old publisher’s most famous titles.  Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and even Mr. Phoenix Wright all have slots on the bar’s menu, along with an assortment of drinks to wash down your meal in video game decadence.

Next time you’re in Tokyo, be a hero and order the “Tofu Mode.”
