And you probably should be playing it.  I can’t really comment on whether or not this XBLA title is worth the elongated wait nor do I think the lead developer’s public candor affects the game negatively or otherwise.  Leave all that bullshit at the door and embrace a pretty special game.  Buy it or try it here.
