While a sequel to their sublimely cool Darkness is arriving next month under another studio, Starbreeze drops a demo off in our marketplaces to show us what they’ve been working on instead. The dev’s reboot of the tactical shooter Syndicate updates the formula into the FPS format. You can take on the corporate ruled sci-fi future alone or dominate with up to three pals in missions based around Bullfrog’s original title.
Starbreeze definitely has style, and the developer brings interesting ideas to a genre so beaten and flogged that any variation is strangely startling. Download the XBLA and PSN demo today, maybe think about picking up the game when it streets February 21st.
