Out February 1st, this seemingly substantial bit of DLC doles out a single player prequel to Dead Island’s tropical apocalypse.  One can only hope Ryder himself brings more characterization to the table than “That bitch was HUGE” when traversing the island.

Resident Evil 6 has been confirmed straight from the horse’s mouth.

Capcom announced today the sixth main installment of the series will span the globe, feature co-op gameplay, have you in the blood-caked shoes of series mainstays Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield – as well as new characters – and provide a unique blend of action and terror that the developers are dubbing “dramatic horror.”

When’s this happening, you ask?  Expect Xbox 360 and PS3 releases November 20th, 2012 with a PC version soon to follow.

Good goddamn, it’s a great year to be a Resident Evil fan.  I’ll have the announcement trailer and impressions up later in the day.


Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Demo Impressions)

When I heard that this game was an attempt to bridge traditional RPG aspects with third-person action ala God of War, I didn’t stay my hand when it came to downloading the demo.  Plus, for your gracious hard drive space, EA gives you a free piece of armor for use in Mass Effect 3, which is an offer that would sting my soul if I failed to do anything about.  That’s the distant future, though.  Let’s focus on Amalur in the now.
