Resident Evil: Revelations is said to have a lengthier script...



Resident Evil: Revelations is said to have a lengthier script than the last numbered title in the franchise, RE5.  I think this narrative thick approach and the too-smooth-to-be-handheld graphics are going to turn some heads towards the 3DS.

And for those that have embraced the little headache inducer into their pockets already, having Revelations bundledwith Nintendo’s Circle Pad attachment...

More than any other trailer, this footage sold me on Ninja Theory’s direction.  To be honest, the plot lines of previous games were muddled, unfocused messes that denied me from connecting with any of the characters.  It seemed the stories were just stages to display Dante’s over-the-top hack n’ slashing and his ten foot middle finger of an attitude.

I know there’s much resistance in the gaming...


On HD Remakes

I know it’s once in a blue moon and typically brought on by some sort of blood sacrifice beforehand to make it happen but IGN actually has a decent article on the current trend of HD remakes.

The article makes mention that publishers are doing double-takes over HD remake sales figures.  A portion of that surprise may come from the fact that these remakes and collections are so easy (i.e. cheap) to produce and market; in God of War Origins Collection’s case, the largest number of staff members developing the title was ten.  Publishers are enticed by the idea that these games are already made, require short development cycles with smaller teams, and are slapped with brand recognition from the get-go.


December 6th Marks This Year's Xbox 360 Dashboard Update

The update Xbox wanted to have out in mid to late November is finally making its way to your dashboard in two weeks.

The update will streamline the current interface and implement all sorts of Kinect functionality where you’ll be able to either use gestures to navigate menus or exert even less energy by issuing voice commands to browse through the content you’re looking for.

Resident Evil Chronicles HD? More Wii Rail-Shooters Lost to the PS3

Like House of the Dead: Overkill and Dead Space: Extraction, the Wii bound rail-shooters Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and its sequel (pictured) The Darkside Chronicles are making their way to the PS3 with HD face lifts.

Updated with Move support and shortened to Chronicles HD, there’s little solid information regarding the title – not even confirmation of an international release. Don’t...
